Ariel top is worked bottom up with clearly contrasting folded edges and strings at the neckline, which are (finger-) crocheted at the end. The top is inspired by the 1984 film Footloose, in which the main character is called Ariel. There, the top is pink and is styled with jeans, red boots and a cowboy hat. If you want to knit your own Ariel top and dream yourself back to the music and line dancing of the 80s, take a look at the scene that inspired this top.
Choose a size that is approx. 5 cm slimmer (negative ease) than your bust measurement.
Circular needle 4 mm (60 cm) for body, front and back piece.
Circular needle 3 mm (40 or 60 cm) for the folded edges.
The pictured model is worked in Rauma Petunia in col. 277.
