Amélie sweater is worked with 1 thread Plum and 1 thread Finull. A delicate and slightly oversized sweater. It is worked in the round and cut at both sides at the end. However, the individual parts of the sweater can also be worked in rows, with extra stitches cast on in between.
As a starting point, the sweater is a simple basic sweater, with extra length on the back and high slits on both sides up to the armholes. These make for a particularly cool look. To prevent the sweater from slipping, bands hold it in place at the slits. Amélie sweater has a great fit and the slits create cool highlights on the otherwise simple sweater.
«Witre Design. En strikkers år»
This instruction has first been published in my book «En strikkers år», published by Cappelen Damm in February 2020. Once week after its publication, the book landed in 2nd place on the bestseller list for “general literature”. The book contains 30 instructions translated into Norwegian, Danish, German and Finnish.
The pictured model is worked in Rauma Finull 4805 and Plum 007.
Choose a size that is approx. 25 cm wider (positive ease) than your chest circumference. The chest circumference is measured across the chest, right below the armhole opening. The stated measurements on the front page are for the finished garment.
